About us
Our UUCF Democracy Action Teams are a group of volunteers focused on creating positive change and fostering democratic processes. We exercise our rights of free speech, free association and assembly. These groups use the UU principles in our social justice works. Each team is an independent group with it's own leadership, activities and goals. Members are not limited to one group.

With many people finding themselves short on hope and feeling powerless to make change, the need for positive action has become crucial. Recognizing that within our congregation there was a need to retake our power, we began organizing into groups addressing the issues that matter most to us. Our groups are organizing actions and participating in larger, regional events. As we grow our teams, we hope to develop as a community of communities, working together for a greater whole.
Our Teams

Immigration
We're working for the rights of all immigrants who seek to make this country their home. Borders should not dictate the value of a human life. We will stand with the refugee, undocumented and asylum seeker. All are welcome and no human is illegal.

Climate Justice
We are committed to protecting the interdependent web of life from the corporate class. We seek to promote conservation and sustainability at all levels of society.

Federal Issues
We seek to bring UU values to our federal government to build a nation that is more equitable, diverse, inclusive and accessible. We focus our actions on our Representatives in Congress, the courts and the White House.

Voting Rights
Democracy works best when all voices are heard. We work to bring an end to disenfranchisement. We fight against voter suppression laws that target BIPOC, women and trans communities. We assist with the "UU The Vote" project.
